I'm 14. Before I started shaving, I had quite a bit of black hair above my lip. That was when I was 12. I'm 14 now, I got black hairs on some parts of my chin, and black side burns. My question is, since I started shaving, why is the hair above my lip blonde now? Why not black? and when will it turn black? ( on the bottom of my chin its black and then all over the top of the chin its blonde...My side burns are black, and the hair all over my cheeks are fairly long, but blonde.) Why are some of the hairs blonde? (some of them used to be black, just the moustache hairs though.) And when will they turn black?
A question about my facial hair?
I think the reason why it changed color in the first place is due to hormones. They fluctuate during puberty and can do some rather strange things. As for when it will change back.. not sure. It might not change back at all. However, since puberty is probably not over for you, it could always switch on you again.
However, in case it doesn't, you could look into dyeing your hair, especially if you want to grow some type of beard and you don't want it to look weird. Good luck.

Just give it some time and they will eventually go black. Or just shave around your upper lip and dont shave your upper lip that way the hairs can grow longer and black. Why do you want them to grow black if you are just going to shave them? Well anyways just give them some time and if that doesnt work maybe you should dye them. Good Luck!
