I've got 2 interviews on Tues for possible Internships. Do I have to shave my neatly trimmed fa

I'm sporting what some would call a "chin strap," a fairly thin line of facial hair that starts at my sideburns, extends along my jaw line, and meets at my chin. No moustache or beard or anything like that.

I'm fairly attatched to it, but should I shave it? I personally think it looks good and so does my girl... it seems to make my face look a little longer.

Do I have to wear a white dress shirt and tie, or can I go sporting nice khaki pants with a dressy striped button up shirt with no tie?

I interviewed for internships too. Mine was for a lab, so I dressed up just in case (pinstripe). They always say 1st appearance is a lasting one (somethin like that), so u want to make sure you are looking very neat. Your facial hair-style sounds neat, but if it needs touching up go do that. I dont know what you are interviewing for, but wear somthin u think would make a good impression on them. I think you should wear the dress shirt and tie. Both sound like they would look nice it just depends what u are applying for. And if your hair looks that bushy in the avatar (not bein funny) I would cut that down too.

Go for the most conservative look possible. i.e. shave and wear a suit. You can always grow the hair back later. You are given one shot for the job, make the most of it.

As long as your facial hair is not very flashy. the way you described it is good. just make sure that its kept low and not allowed to grow long. Make it look as if you keep it manicured. so no stubble surrounding. as for your dressing choice. be "plain" the white shirt and a tie days are over, but a solid color button down shirt is a good choice. A pair of flat front black pants and some Black casual shoes will go fine with the shirt. As for a tie look up a color wheel and choose a color that compliments your shirt color. If you dont want to wear a tie then your shirt will need to have some underlying pattern in it. like a ghost pinstripe (a pinstripe that is not visble from a distance but when you are a few feet from the fabric it is noticeable.) Thats pretty much it. and good luck
