Is there a point (age) of no return in which I should give up hope on growing facial hair?

I am 23 years old and have very little facial hair and only in certain areas (above my lip, on my chin and sideburns area) but none of the areas look full at all. I have always been slower biologically when it came to armpit hair and stuff. but is 23 too late to hope for facial hair especially since I already have hair in some areas of my face? thanks!

Have you ever had your hormones tested to see if you were low on testosterone? Also, it depends on your ethnicity. Native Americans, Chinese, Japanese, African Americans, etc normally don't grow as much facial hair as an American Caucasian man.

First, people's hair grows at very different rates, so don't lose hope! hair growth (as all growth) is sensitive to nutritional state. Meaning, if your are lacking in some nutritional component - that can affect growth. but If you are gitting a good well balanced diet and feel like you are getting all of your vitamins and minerals, then this is probably not affecting your hair growth, but I thought I should mention it for your consideration. also some people just don't grow hair, like me; i have lots of hair on my head but body hair is like non existent, so that could be one reason but take your time don't shave for awile and take some more vitamins.

depends on if you are a girl or not

man, it's just genetics. If you are a healthy male and keeping in good health, I wouldn't worry about the lack of facial hair.

We are all different ~ I have a Vietnamese friend who, at 29, can't grow a goatee, sideburns or a moe. He is physically fit, lifts weights, plays sport and swims. My point is that the lack of facial hair is no indication to a lack of anything in your body. So don't worry and be happy with what you have.

A good bit of news for you: I can grow a better, thicker full beard now at 27 than I could at 23...%26gt;At 23 I was kind of 'patchy' and every time i tried to grow a beard, It just looked like I rolled in dirt.

So maybe wait a few years...............and then you'll be sick of shaving, cursing the day you started to grow facial hair!!!

shave your whole face daily or even twice a day should make it grow in faster
