Embarrassing facial hair!!!????

A few years ago I made a stupid mistake of removing my hair on my upper lip when I really did nor need to!!..now I do!! I've heard waxing may result in wrinkles and discolouration of the skin like removal creams which also cause discolouration. I have pale skin so if I were to use a shaver, whould you see stubble?????! Anyone have any advice???!!!!!!! And has anyone tried EZE-TWEEZE???

The best thing to do for this is electrolysis or laser. The current growth has nothing to do with you removing it the last time. You could have a hormone imbalance, and the effects could be getting worse.

So if you have any health concerns related to this, you can see a doctor. For the cosmetic side, electrolysis and laser are your best bets. With electrolysis, it has to be the kind with a fine wire that goes into the skin. Some unscrupulous people are selling boxes where you rub some gunk on the skin and then drag something across, or things known as "RF tweezers." Don't fall for those.

One other thing is that shaving really doesn't make things thicker or grow faster. If often takes years for consequences of hormonal changes to appear and they compound themselves What makes shaving cause hairs to appear thicker has to do with how hair is shaped. New growth is tapered on the end. As it continues to grow, it gets thicker. So that has nothing to do with removal methods, but an already occurring process.

but i hear that cost ATON of money so if you are rich you could do that :) lol

i made that mistake too! so now I thread it. it's not as harsh as waxing because it only removes the hair - not the first layer of skin. some beauty salons will do it - your best bet is looking online to find a place that does threading. look and see if there is a Ziba beauty store nearby - that's where I go. I think it's only in California tho

You're female. Females hair around the face and back tend to be alot fairer. Specially if your hair is blonde or red.

Shaving shouldn't turn it to stubble, but DON'T SHAVE! It grows back thicker.

I'm not sure about creams but I could say you should try laser surgery. Not the eye kind, lol... I mean the one that pretty much kills the section off where the hairs grow, meaning NO hair growth in that region what so ever. I'm not sure on cost you may have to ask another question or perhaps look it up ona search engine.

i have electrolysis cos it's cheaper than lazer but does take longer. never heard of eze-tweeze, good luck

Welcome to my WORLD! Have you ever tried VANIQA.....it seems to work really well for me. The hairs on my chin are coarse (stubbly) and it doesn't work as well on that area.....so I pluck OUCH! But for the small light hairs around my upper lip and face area it works wonders. It just expensive to purchase and it's not a permanent solution.....if you stop using the cream....the hair comes back. Electrolosis and laser hair removal are the only permanent (semi permanent) options I'm aware of!

This is definitely one of those "I wish I didn't" situations. I made the mistake of shaving mine and now I have to shave it once every couple of days. Electrolysis is probably the best solution to this nuisance, that one day I may afford. Hang in there and definitely do some research before trying anything else. Good luck!

whatever you do, dont shave your upper lip hairs, i've done it and i have to do it again and again and again because it grows back fast and it's getting darker. try and get it waxed at a salon first and then just pluck strays. like eyebrows!!

i wax, its the best way, creams can be painful if your skin is sensitive and the hair doesnt stay away too long, dont shave, it will come back courser and darker, not a good idea. i am thinking of having laser treatment done, it can be expensive but where i am you can pay for it per session, its about 鎷?5 which may sound a lot but it is permanent and only need a couple or so sessions. meantime, ill keep on waxing. i like going to a beauty place, i get my lip chin and eyebrows waxed usually for about 鎷?3 and it lasts about a month.

Don't wax for crying out loud, you might as well shave!!! Go to a specia salon and get lazer treament with that special light. It costs a lot of money if you do your whole body. Just for your upper lip it won't be that expensive. And no matter how "expensive" it is, I think it's worth it!!!
